Safari Habesha is an absolutely wonderful East African vegetarian restaurant with a number of amazing African vegan and vegetarian dishes. The staff are charming and the décor is understated but elegant, and all in all the whole dining experience is well worth a visit.

The food is best if you order a large selection of dishes and share them, as they are all worth dipping into and they all offer some wonderful contrasting and complementing tastes. Start with the spicy stew marinated Injera served with onion and garlic and a couple of orders of bread baked in butter and pepper and served up with yoghurt. For something a little different to start, try the barley flour porridge, which also comes with yoghurt and pepper. If that seems like an odd combination, it is – but somehow it works.

From the main dishes on offer I would thoroughly recommend the spicy crushed fava beans which are served with a topping of falafel and feta cheese and come sautéed in olive oil or sesame oil. Eaten with some of the bread this is an exquisite dish. Also worth trying are the Ye Abasha Salad and the egg with pepper, onions, tomatoes as well as the Hedmona potatoes (baby potatoes boiled and sautéed with olive oil and herbs).

Best of all however is the humus, which is made to their own recipe and served with bread and tastes completely different (and a lot better) than the bland humus you get at your local supermarket. Order a portion of humus and the Sambosa fried patties (stuffed with green peas and potatoes and served on lettuce) and you will be in veggie foodie heaven.

One great option is to order a selection of all the vegetarian dishes on offer, which includes the chana dal, the fosolia, as well as a number of spinach, cabaage and lentil dishes, and only costs £5.

You’re only problem with Safari habesha will be ordering too much and then finding you have no room left to eat it all. Delicious.

Alex is a financial blogger and writer and a vegetarian. He loves writing about vegetarian food and green issues although he spends most of his time writing about business and finance from taxes to mortgages to payday loans .

For a long time anyone who had a hankering to build a sustainable and environmentally friendly home would have found it extremely difficult to find both information and resources, as well as raw materials to do so. It is only in the last few years that people have begun to take a proper look at the materials they use to build their homes and their communities and even now it is not always easy to track down suppliers and experts in niche trades. For a long time you would have needed to go to exhibitions or trade fairs to find these kinds of craftsmen and eco-building companies, and that is not always possible for busy people. Thankfully these days it is possible to find almost all of these things on the internet and to connect with the right people with the click of a mouse. Customers can seek out both information on how to build in a certain style or with a certain material, and can also connect with companies who are experienced in such projects. Similarly, niche companies who might sell a particularly hard to find material are now able to advertise to the whole world and to send that material out to anyone, anywhere. As such it is now possible to apply the same level of availability and pricing as you might get from general sites like Amazon or Coupon Croc , to such niche purchases as green building materials or services. Just a brief look around the web will show you how easy it is to connect with green building sites. Here are four to get you started:

Greenbuilding.com – Contains everything you’ll need to know about renovating and improving you property, or building a new property, and includes LEED information.

Greenbuilding.org – Currently rebuilding their site but an excellent site for green building resources.

Oikos.com – A great supplier of green building materials, both outdoor and indoor.

Greenhomebuilding.com – contains a broad selection of information about sustainable architecture.

One of the best things about solar energy is the fact that it can be harnessed from pretty much any location on the planet. Anyone who has had to endure poor phone signal or who has at one point in their lives lived in an area which has trouble accessing the grid will understand the annoyance of being stuck on the edge of civilisation. Thankfully, this is not a problem where solar energy is concerned which means that even if you happen to live in Yorkshire, yes Yorkshire, solar panel technology can seriously improve your business, your home or both! Solar pv installers in Yorkshire have become something of popular move in recent times which just goes to show, the phenomenon is taking off.

If you happen to live in Yorkshire and wish to become another member of the solar family, you have numerous options. As with many other areas in the United Kingdom, Yorkshire boasts a range of companies who will not only install your new and economical solar panel system for you, but also provide a high level of maintenance and further services for extra measure. Most if not all of these companies will undertake the entire process for you including the initial roof checks, the actual installation (a process which doesn’t take nearly as long as urban myth may suggest) and even a range of post-installation checks and services such as yearly maintenance inspections, round the clock customer service assistance and many further beneficial bonuses.

If the need to be switched on as it were where environmental issues are concerned is greater than ever before, it is reassuring to know that wherever you happen to live in the United Kingdom, you will have options such as solar panel technology; a concept which will not only help make a difference to the state of the planet we all share, but will also assist you in economical terms. There can be no denying that the state of the worlds finances is looking increasingly turbulent at the minute and as such, even if you happen to live in Yorkshire, now is perhaps the right time to consider bypassing the grid altogether and considering the green approach to power.

There are many different approaches in starting a cardboard recycling program. The cardboard can be collected loose or processed with cardboard balers.

Many businesses are unaware of how much cardboard they generate, and even though they recycle loose cardboard, baling the cardboard should be considered. In many cases baling the cardboard can double the dollar amount paid per ton.

Some general guidelines for setting up your recycling program and making use of cardboard balers would include sharing a baler with another company, determining your available storage space for a baler and deciding on a vertical baler or a horizontal baler.

Conduct a close examination your needs and start your recycling program today.

Greeting cards are a big part of our culture. They show love and thoughtfulness in every special occasion—birthdays, graduations, holidays, etc. Easter is one of the most popular occasions where loved ones give each other greeting cards. If you want your greetings to be more special, then you probably want to do more than just buy generic Easter cards in your nearest bookstore. One of the things you can do is approach an online printing company to have your personalized Easter cards printed. A personalized Easter card is much more thoughtful and sweeter than any card you can buy in the store.

However, with the number of challenges that the earth’s environment is facing today, the printing industry is under pressure to make some changes. In fact, almost all industries today—from fashion to cement production—are striving to make their operations more environmentally responsible. Many printing companies are now adopting printing methods that are more eco-friendly. If you are looking to get your Easter cards printed, then you might want to consider one of these printing companies.

So how do these printing companies print greeting cards in a more eco-friendly manner? For starters, the company uses soy ink. Unlike traditional ink, soy ink does not release harmful chemicals in the air during the drying process. Soy ink also tends to spread more than traditional ink so one only needs to use a small amount. As if these advantages were not enough, soy ink also produces richer colors than traditional ink so you get a more vibrantly colorful Easter greeting card.

Eco-friendly printing companies also use recycled paper to print their greeting cards. To many, this might sound like a step that compromises the overall quality and appearance of the greeting card products, but cards made from recycled material can be just as nice and glossy as cards made from new materials.

When you have your Easter greeting cards printed by an eco-friendly company, not only are you doing your part for the environment, but you are also spreading the message of environmental responsibility through the cards you send out.

With the number of environmental problems that the earth is facing today, the number of companies who are pledging to go green is continuously increasing. There is no question that all human beings have a responsibility toward Mother Nature. Today, big companies are taking the initiative to become role models in lessening carbon footprints, using renewable energy, creating green jobs and being more eco-friendly in general.

Among the big companies that have gone green today is the Bank of America. The financial giant aimed to show that environmental responsibility can go hand in hand with business growth. The company has reduced its use of paper by as much as 30%. The company has also invested in a paper recycling program and gives its employees incentives to buy hybrid vehicles.

General Electric has also vowed to make amends toward its consumers and the environment by launching a clean-up program for the Hudson River. You might remember that GE once became the target of public outrage when it was discovered that the company was polluting the famous river. Aside from its clean-up project, GE continues to develop and sell solar panels and other Ecomagination products.

One of the major companies to join the list of big businesses that are going green is Cemex. Cemex is one of the top cement companies in the world today. Thanks to its green efforts, the company is no longer just one of the major players in the industry but also a role model when it comes to eco-friendly programs. The company’s focus on Cemex air quality, sustainable energy and green construction are some of the rightful reasons why the company was awarded the Gold Medal for International Corporate Environmental Achievement, back in 2002.

Today, Cemex continues to take steps to strengthen its commitment to the environment. The company continues to develop technology that will pioneer eco-friendly operations in the cement industry. Cemex also recycles materials and even reuses wastes that can serve as alternative fuel.

It’s no secret that luxurious, brightly lit casinos are a great place to go to spend, and occasionally earn, a little green. Most of us enjoy a good weekend at the casino, and indulging in a few card games or playing the slots. While we enjoy the ambiance of the place, few of us ever bother to consider what impact the casino may or may not be having on the earth’s environment. Many of today’s casinos are working hard to operate in an eco-friendly manner. Several large casinos have implemented incentives to keep their facilities green. Still, one of the best things that these large gambling establishments can do to improve the environment is being done on the Internet. Most large casinos are owned by gambling industry giants. These giants are busy building lots of new casinos without disturbing the earth. How? They are building on-line casinos that bring the excitement of the casino to your home PC, and eliminate the waste and energy consumption inherent with operating a big public venue. While places like Caesars online will probably never replace the real thing for a fun vacation destination, it does offer those who like to gamble an earth-friendly alternative to making the trip to a casino just to play the games and enjoy the thrill of a win. The online casino is a popular concept all over the planet, and in their own way, they are helping to save the planet. The online casino is a popular concept all over the planet, and in their own way, they are helping to save the planet. Still, those luxurious casinos with their hotels and fine dining can still do their part to lower emission, cut back energy consumption and recycle waste materials. This way, whether we opt to play our favorite game on-line or in person, we will be assured that our trip to the gaming tables won’t be costing the earth more than it can afford.

Also known as the ‘City of Trees’, Sacramento is a perfect example of a modern city that is environmentally friendly. The city boasts of a large number of lush green parks. Greenery is not the only popular aspect of Sacramento. This modern city is also known for its dazzling night life. With the rising awareness about the harmful effects of chemicals, people are turning to eco friendly products. A decade back, the term ‘eco-conscious’ would meet with exclamation, and surprise. Today, it has become a part of modern lifestyle. More and more people across the globe are embracing eco friendly lifestyles.

Environmentally friendly businesses, for example, are becoming increasingly popular. Eco friendly products have numerous benefits. Such products help reduce the amount of waste that accumulates over a period of time, thus creating more and more landfills. Moreover, green commodities are cost effective. Their shelf-life is long too. Made from recyclable materials, eco friendly products help conserve the environment.

Would not it be good to invest in eco-friendly businesses? There are two routes to choose from- start an eco-friendly business from scratch, or purchase a franchise of an established business network. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. While the former allows you to develop products, and market on your own, the latter provides you with a reliable and quicker business option.

If you live in Sacramento area, you can comfortably set up an eco-friendly business. As Sacramento offers you a host of opportunities in the field of eco-friendly businesses, you can talk to Sacramento property management companies to learn more about such businesses.
